The south part of Tulsa isn’t anything that Tulsa is ashamed of for sure. The area has developed into one of the most prestigious areas, and along with it, the Southeast and Southern Hills parts of Tulsa have, too.
Southeast Tulsa
South of Forty-First Street and west of South Sheridan Road, with borders of Bixby, Oklahoma on one side and Broken Arrow on the other, is considered to be Southeast Tulsa. The residents in this area are serviced by Union Schools for the most part while a small area is serviced by Broken Arrow Schools and Tulsa Public Schools.
This is a great area to raise a family with neighborhood parks that have public pools, soccer fields, and other sporting fields. Local businesses provide employment opportunity by way of several corporate offices. There are other businesses located in the area, as well, that have large workforces.
There are ample dining and shopping in the area with the Broken Arrow Expressway and the Creek Turnpike making easy access in and out of the area. Homes in this area are as far back as the 1970’s, but there are also newer homes.
Southern Hills
This part of Southern Tulsa is exclusive and home to the Southern Hills Country Club. The club has hosted four U.S. Opens and over a dozen major golf championships. Most of the homes that are original to the neighborhood are sprawling ranch style.
